Looking for Ladybugs

In the spring time, I bought the kids a toy called LadyBug Land. Basically, you send away for lady bug larvaes and watch them grow in to adults. Lucky for us, we live right by a alfalfa field that had tons of lady bugs larvaes. The boys loved catching the ladybugs and watching them grow.

Spring Break, Barney Cabin

Andy & I drove up to the Barney Cabin in Pinetop for the week of Spring Break. It was a lot of work, 6 kids and 2 adults, but totally worth it. The kids had a blast playing in a little patch of snow on the back of our porch. We also took the kids to Woodland Lake and walked along the hiking trail. We brought a picnic to eat there, but ended up eating it in the car because it was way too windy for us "city folks". Lucky the Leprechaun even visited us while we were there for St. Patty's Day. He led the kids on a fun treasure hunt, where he left his pot of gold!

Noter

Carter and Noah. They are inseparable. I think they need a nickname, hmmm how about Cartno or Noter. I like Noter. These two can get in to a heated argument over some little known fact one minute, then the next minute they will be best friends. They just can't ever get enough of each other. I sure love those faces!

Sad, Sad Day!

Today, I was in the kitchen when Brinkley came in from out back saying, "I soo sawrry mommie." In her hand was her beautiful little pig tail. She had found some scissors that her brother's left outside and cut her pigtail completely off. She was almost scalped on one side. I was devastated. I already am not a very good "hair-doing" mommy, and this was going to make it even worse!

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year came and went in a blink of an eye. We opened presents at our house, then went to the Stauffer's, followed by the Peterson's. We are so blessed to live so close to family!

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving this year was over at our house. It was fun having everyone together. Even Grand Marie came. How thankful we are for our family!

Carter's Thanksgiving Program

This year in Miss Allison's class Carter had a Thanksgiving program. Zach, one of Carter's best buddies, is in his class this year. He sure looked cute singing all the Thanksgiving songs!

Winter Break 2010- Disneyland

Over winter break we all decided to go to Disneyland. This was the first time any of our kids had been and what was even better was they got to go with their cousins. We rode on all the rides and ate lots of churros and ice cream. Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth, when can we go back?

Halloween 2010

For Halloween this year, Steph & JD invited us to a Halloween party at D's daycare. The kids had fun walking from room to room playing the different games and activities. Their favorite was eating doughnuts from a string!

Fall Break-Park City Utah

For Fall Break this year, we all drove up to Park City Utah. Papa George rented a beautiful cabin for us to stay in. The "big boys" brought their motorcycles up to ride in the cooler weather. On Sunday, we visited the Salt Lake City Temple and ate at the Marriott downtown. We also went down the alpine slides and bungee jumped on a trampoline in Park City. It was freezing so we drank our fair share of hot cocoa. Also, we went to a Fall festival in Thanksgiving Point that had a bunch of fun kids activities. This was one of my most favorite vacations and I'm sure the kids would agree. They even got to swim in the Jacuzzi out back when it was snowing!
