Scary
I went to the Dermatologist yesterday. I had a red growth on my forehead, right under my hair line. And of course since I am preggers everything is GETTING BIGGER...and this 'bump' was no exception. So to make a long story short....it turns out it was a Basal Cell Carcinoma aka a form of skin cancer....the Dr. took off/burned the spot off(I am so glad I didn't faint). But, I can't believe I have/had SKIN CANCER! Of all the skin cancers to 'have', this is the one to get...because it is not too serious....but I just realized that I am not as invincible as I think I am & that my body is getting old! Darn all those tanning days at Mega Tan....what was I thinking????? Sunscreen here I come!

Oh my gosh! That is super scary! I'm glad everything is okay now... I'll definitely be loading up on sunscreen this summer!
That is super scary! I am glad to hear it is going to be ok. Thank goodness for sunscreen!!!
What a good thing for me to hear (and of course I'm so sorry -that is SCARY!!) because Shawn and I are not that careful (ok I am a little more careful than Shawn) and I wish we were! So suncreen, here I come! ;)
That is super scary!! Good thing you didn't ignore it and just hope it would go away and it didn't spread or anything! I ALWAYS douse my kids in sunscreen and barely ever put it on myself...I need to be better about that!
That is quite the scare. I total remember wishing I was as tan as you and Steph. Wouldn't you girls even go tanning like twice a day?:) You little brown bears. I'm glad the cancer isn't too serious and the doc was able to remove it. Did it leave a hole?
Ok... you probably think I am horrible. While we were moving I found a small pile of Thank you notes from our wedding that never got sent and one of them was adressed to you!!! I am horrible!!! I am sorry!!! Thank you sooo much! Don't hate me!
Crap!! That means Cass and I are next. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Hopefully that will be the end of that. No joke what were we thinking in junior high.I guess we werent(:
Ahh...Katie that is scary. You never think about that stuff until it hits home. I love your post about Brody...that hair cracks me up.
P.S. I forgot that we both have boys named Brody...Hey you forgot that we are BOTH cool people!!! :)
oh my, that totally reconfirms my thoughts about going tanning. i keep thinking i would look better with a tan and then i think of instances like this!! yikes
Wow...that is a scary thing to go through! I am glad they were able to remove it right away, what a blessing. I hear ya on the tanning...all the years of it and yet I still hardly put it on myself, thanks for the wake-up call! Glad you are alright :)
Man that is scary. I am a huge "tan" fan, and have been thinking a lot about it lately...is it really worth it?
It really does make you think...doesn't it??
I didn't realize that Brody and JD were a day apart. Caden and his cousin Hunter are a day apart. How fun is that?
Thanks for the invite...cute blog...cute kids...and you ARE skinny! Preg, or not...you have got to be the skinniest pregnant girl I have seen EVER!
We are getting old! That is scary!
I am so sad I missed your shower! SORRY! We were cleaning up all day Saturday from the SGIA Party & when I realized what time it was- it was too late! I wanted to see you & the other girls. Hope it was fun!
Katie, have you heard of Fake Bake? I LOVE It, I use the air brush and spray it on me and I look like I just returned home from Mexico!! Look for it, I am sure they have it in some beauty salons. It sucks getting old doesnt' it?!
That is so scary...I am just glad you caught it early enough. I am sad that you have to go back to make sure all of it is gone!! That is no fun!!
Wow, what a crazy thing! I'm so sorry. It must have been scary to find out, especially because you're prego. I hope everything is ok.
