Caleb's 1st day of preschool

Caleb had his first day of school today. He goes for 2 hours , Mon-Thurs at the elementary school by our house. He qualified for the speech therapy program so the bus picks him up & drops him off at our house. It is so wonderful! Not to mention it is free. Here he is posing for the camera.....
Like mother like son....here he is eating sweets (they were a bit of a bribe because he did not want me to take his picture anymore!) But, I blame grandma Terol for his MAJOR sweet tooth. :-)
I think I am going to cry next year when he has to go to ALL day kindergarten. I am already dreading that day! What do you ladies think about ALL day Kindergarten?

I was just talking to a friend of mine about this last week. She actually teaches at an all day kindergarten. She said that about 5 of the 24 students could actually handle it. It was just too long for most of them. She said that all they did that was different from half day was just coloring and playing. It was pretty much like day care after the curriculum was done. I think it can be a great thing, but most kids can't handle it. Personally I don't think it will be a choice in a year or two. Everyone will have all day. I am sure he will do great! I can't believe he is starting preschool!! I love his stylin clothes! ;)

aww what a cute boy!! Jacob is going into K this year and its all day. Personally, I think they are too young to go all day, but it really depends on the kid. We are fighting with the school to let us just do half day instead of all day k because we need therapy time. Good luck with school!! Its always so sad when they go for the first time, but nice after a few days when you have that semi quiet time!

Thanks for the bday wishes!

Oh, my goodness what a cutie!! He reminds me of your brother Scott when he was younger. I can't even imagine what it would feel like to send my little boy off to preschool. Emotional, but exciting I'm sure. Well, I love your new blog background. I wish I was better at doing cool stuff. You'll have to let me in on your secret.

For all you girls who want to change your blog background go to www.thehart-family.blogspot.com. On her website their is a link to her e-mail, all you have to do is e-mail her & she will send you all the info. It is a little time consuming....it has been driving me nuts because I am such a perfectionist & I can't get it exactly right....but at least it is better than before. Good luck girls!!

So cute!!! Firsts are always a bit teary for me. And now lasts...Kara is my baby and is going to preschool this year and probably ALL DAY Kind. next year! And that will be hard cuz they will ALL be gone! I have only had 1 go all-day so far, she did fine. #4, is gonna have a hard time in 1st gr. this year, she still takes naps. So I think it just depends on each child! Good luck. School is an exciting time in Motherhood, and it will give you a little break! And spill the beans on the CUTE background...please!

Just kidding, I just look at your comment about your background after I posting mine. Funny, I got that same info from the same girl and it seemed a little too hard for me...so was it hard???

Maybe I'm a bad mother but I say "heck ya" to all day kindergarden. Maggie gets so bored at home and drives me crazy so I'm so excited for preschool and kindergarden. I guess it depends on the kid. I love Caleb's school outfit, its so stylin! I have to bribe or threaten Maggie to do anything.

Oh my gosh, I think if that were me and Easton was starting school I would be a wreck! Maybe it's a good thing he is only 10 months old! You guys are such a cute family. It is too bad we didnt get together while we lived there. Why are George & Kathryn moving to Val Vista Lakes? I need your email or just email me so we can keep in touch. Happy Anniversary!

I love the Volcom outfit & the hair. What a stud! I am going to hate sending Hannah all day. She is deathly shy. Today at the Dr's office she cried from the car till she got a sticker at the end of her appt. She gets soooo nervous, she's sooo little for her age, and I can't even imagine packing a lunch for her and expecting her to carry it to the lunch room and eat it by herself. 6 hours a day, that stinks! I am glad you asked the question, so I could vent...SORRY:)
